Bamba by Viccarbe

Viccarbe has added Bamba to the exclusive collection, Viccarte.

Through this new side table, the young talent from Brazil, Pedro Paulo-Venzon, proposes a redefinition of the perspectives that design usually works with.

Paulo-Venzon has taken inspiration from the borders between the local and the global, tradition and modernity, industry and art.

Bamba is a table that perfectly represents the symbiosis of sculpture and balance.

Composed of a metal tabletop and a base comprised of a circle and two metal rods, Bamba evokes the “slashed O”, the emblem of designer Paulo-Venzon.

Structure finishes:

Powdercoated White or Black.

Dimensions:

540mm Diameter x 520mm H

About the designer

Pedro Paulo-Venzon

Pedro Paulo Venzon is a designer who has produced objects and artefacts, and whose concern is to create pieces that arise from a decolonial reading of the discussions surrounding contemporary and modem design in Brazil.

Since 2011, when he finished his academic studies, he has received important prizes in both Brazilian and international scenario. In 2016 he was a finalist in the Officine Panerai Next Generation Designer, and in 2017 he took part in the Handmade Issue (expo + publication), both promoted by Wallpaper Magazine.

There is currently engagement with the production of syntheses between the authorial and industrial, the local and the global, between tradition and its displacements.
