About the designer

Jon Goulder

Jon Goulder is a fourth generation furniture maker, he left his family business to study furniture design and fine woodworking at Canberra School of art under the direction of the late George Ingham.

After leaving Canberra School of Art he established his design consultancy – Jon Goulder Designer Maker. His work has featured in a number of major exhibitions and publications around the world.

Jon has won several design prizes and his work is held in permanent collections by most State and National Museums and Art Galleries including the National Gallery of Australia.

He has several international clients who work with him in different capacities including exhibitions, private commissions, one-off installation design, and design for royalty license based agreements with manufacturers.

He currently works as a Senior Designer with Snohetta Architects Australasia.  Jon is a master craftsperson and a skilled designer when not working with Snohetta he is focused on developing his 1 off and limited edition collections for representation in Australia, America and Europe.
