Tuile Outdoor Sofa by Kristalia

Designed by Patrick Norguet, Tuile upholstered items take their name from the shape of the backrest and armrests reminiscent of the French biscuit of the same name.

The collection includes: a 2-seater sofa, a 3-seater sofa and an armchair. The style recalls homely atmospheres but they are made of materials specially designed for outdoor use.

The frame is made of sturdy metal with anti-corrosion treatment and powder coating. Comfort is guaranteed with soft polyurethane foam padding, with a metal insert and straps, enclosed in a waterproof covering.

The upholstery is made of Sunbrella® fabric: stain-resistant, breathable, resistant to UV rays and water-repellent.

Kristalia

Kristalia was established in 1994 by young entrepreneurs from Friuli who share two great passions: design and jazz.
From the outset, Kristalia has given special attention to innovative design projects through experimentation and searching for new technical solutions, using materials borrowed from the fields of fashion and sport.
In autumn 1995, Kristalia presented its first catalogue to the sales network. Production immediately met the needs of a public oriented towards contemporary furnishings while maintaining details and reassuring traditional styles.
From the end of the 1990s, with the creation of a definitive company organisation, Kristalia began to pursue a different path and attract consumers who were particularly attentive to the aesthetic and qualitative characteristics linked to innovation in Italian and international design.
The new millennium opened doors to an increasingly global and competitive market but Kristalia confirmed its leading position thanks to its inspiring principles that distinguish it today from other brands.
Currently, Kristalia Srl comprises a team led by motivated people who are fully involved in its development programmes: the strategies, analysed by the owners, are only applied after careful collaboration with the various players in the company.

This ongoing search for a team spirit makes Kristalia stand out from the crowd.

About the designer

Patrick Norguet

The apparent modesty of Patrick Norguet veils a spirit animated by the concerns of perfection, detail and an object well-made. For the last 12 years, the designer has engraved his name on the international design scene with strokes of precision, determination and discretion.

A descendent of Roger Tallon, Castiglioni, and more recent, Alberto Meda, Patrick Norguet considers himself an industrial designer.
He is radical in his search for purity, poetic in his sensibility of products and meticulous in his sense of detail.
His aesthetic genes are more Nordic than Austrian and his temperament is quite French.

It is first and foremost to Italy that he owes his success. Primarily to Giulio Cappellini, who brought him to the limelight in 1999 by manufacturing his instant classic, Rainbow Chair, which is in the MoMA’s permanent collection, and Kristalia, Tolix, Glas Italia, Poltrona Frau, Flaminia, Lapalma, Lea Ceramiche as well as Alias and Cassina, who see in the designer a real talent to imagine quality products that are also commercial and durable.
