Markant designs, manufactures and imports office furniture and distributes exclusively through a professional network of office furniture and project dealers.

Established as Argo Office in 1948, in Amsterdam it has customers and support offices worldwide with more than 350 active dealers and its own research & development department.

Prolonged sitting is not healthy for people. It lowers the quality of life and increases the chance of a premature passing. For that reason Markant encourages dynamic working through special products and advice concerning a dynamic set up of the office. With their innovative workstations, the number hours spent sitting are significantly reduced and optimal blood flow is stimulated which is better for the quality and length of life, creativity and productivity.

Markant has been certified ISO 9001:2008. The Quality Masters check up on this every year. Markant furniture also meets the requirements of the Dutch standard NEN 2449:1990: in it the guidelines for ergonomic work spaces are documented. Guidelines, requirements and test methods drawn up and executed by the renowned research institution TNO in Delft.
