Antonino Sciortino

Antonino Sciortino calls himself a craftsman/artist with a “minimalist baroque” style. In his workshop in Milan, Sciortino presents a fresh take on the old trade of blacksmithing, which he first learned to love as an eight-year-old child in the spellbinding land of Sicily.
He interweaves the ancient art of working iron with his studies of dance: this perfectly balanced fusion can be found in every one of his creations, which stand out due to his use of special “cooked” iron that allows him to make soft structures reminiscent of dancing shadows.
