About the designer

Alessandro Busana

Born in Padua in 1977, Alessandro Busana graduated from Scuola Italiana Design and then specialised through a number of workshops with Rollerblade, Fila, Whirlpool, Alfa Romeo, Chicco, Roncato and Alessi.

The cutting-edge design projects of his earlier years were displayed at numerous national and international events. He later focused on designing home and contract furniture, creating several products for prestigious companies. Published by all the main trade magazines, he also appears in the book “The New Italian Design” and was selected for the special “New Talents” section of the King Size 2011 edition of the Interni magazine.

At the 2012 Milan Design Week he launched “Smooth Plane” at Superstudio, while at the 2013 Milano Design Week he launched the brand “Stuf Design”, with an exhibition at the Triennale Design Museum.

He has won the Interior Innovation Award and two Good Design Awards. In 2018 he began teaching design methodology at Scuola Italiana Design.
