Leading ASX listed exploration and mining company, IGO have created a rejuvenated workplace in South Perth to align with their dynamic and forward thinking company culture.

A collaboration between Rezen Studio and Templewell Studio, the IGO Workspace is a welcoming, people-centric space that facilitates connection and collaboration.

With panoramic views of the Swan River and the Perth CBD, the new workplace design incorporates large collaboration and breakout spaces along the length of the building.

Working towards sustainability and clean energy future, IGO wanted to reflect this commitment through its design solutions for the floor-plate. Using a selection sustainable materials and extensive sourcing of locally made and designed products by Rezen Studio, the 31 Degree OWN booths were perfect in providing focus destinations for individuals and teams within a workspace.

Fortona Sled Chairs and Fortona Sled Stools were selected for the meeting areas and rooms for their relaxed appeal and comfort. The Column Lamp by Menu a delightful illuminating addition to the enclosed spaces.

Inox and Centro disc table bases with Metallic Brass details were used for all collaborative areas in the meeting and breakout zones to allow maximum legroom and illustrates the connection back to the company’s mining operations.

The central bar and main breakout spot features ties to the WA Pilbara with locally sourced marble highlighting the beauty of the WA landscape. The classic No 811 Hoffman Chair by Thonet gently compliments the softness of the space.

Natadora’s Scribe Lounge with it’s curved detail and the Sketch Baker Modular Lounge were selected for the collaboration and enclosed spaces. Form Flip tables were used in the training and meeting areas to offer flexibility and mobility.

Another detailed featured of the renovation was the inclusion of sculptured artwork. This provided an opportunity to engage with local artists and to represent the company’s people and values as well as the communities they work in.

The story behind a classic.

Timeless in design, the Portuguese Chair takes inspiration from the German Bauhaus school and the iconic tubular steel forms of pioneers like René Herbst, Marcel Breuer, and Mies van der Rohe.

Its elegance lies in two continuous steel tubes, one forming the back legs, arms and backrest; the other shaping the front legs and seat frame.
