The design intent centred on creating a relaxed, contemporary setting that balances durability with warmth — a space that feels distinctly Western Australian while meeting the demands of a high-traffic airport environment.
Layered textures, refined finishes and a carefully considered palette work together to soften the terminal setting, transforming the café into a destination rather than a stopover. The Frisbee Chair by Cizeta, Mexica Chairs and Mexica Stools by Innerspace were selected to support flexibility, longevity and visual cohesion prioritising ergonomic comfort for varying dwell times, from quick coffees to extended layovers.
The Bold Table by Pedrali and Centro Tables by Innerspace offers flexibility in accommodating various group sizes for both seated and standing options for travellers.
For the Listen and Lounge area, the Mexica Lounge by Innerspace and the Humla Side table by Tolv were the perfect selection for travellers to zone out and listen to the house selection of music.
