Tramas by GAN Rugs
Designed by Romero & Vallejo
Tramas by GAN Rugs explores the beauty of contrast, between materials, textures, and dimensions. This collection re-imagines traditional weaving by combining dense felt and soft wool, creating rugs that are both visually graphic and sensorially rich.
The interplay of materials introduces a subtle depth and warmth, while the tactile variations evoke a sense of craftsmanship and comfort. Through this thoughtful composition, Tramas achieves an aesthetic balance where geometry and softness coexist, resulting in a rug that feels both contemporary and timeless.
Crafted on the hand loom, each piece is meticulously produced to ensure harmony between its layered tones and textural details. What appears to be a simple, graphic design reveals intricate artistry, a deconstructed framework re-imagined as a new kind of weave.
Tramas rugs come in two sizes, offering versatility for a range of interior spaces.

About the designer
Romero & Vallejo
Sara Romero and Mariano Vallejo are the Architects, Designers and Founding partners of Romero Vallejo, a multidisciplinary design firm founded in 2004, which is dedicated to both small and large-scale projects, concentrating on residential architecture, retail, interiors, product design and creative direction.
The duo strongly believe that the quality of our surroundings has a direct influence on the quality of our day-to-day lives. Therefore, they strive to create a world in which architecture and consumer products are inextricably linked. Their interest in industrial design for architecture has led them to collaborate in a wide range of sectors such as ceramics, glass, general upholstery, metalwork, woodwork and furniture, amongst many others.
After having studied architecture in Barcelona, Valladolid and Rome, and having worked as Director of Interior Design at Hem, Romero Vallejo are now regularly asked to collaborate with various architecture centres, design institutes, and universities.
Together, they have carried out projects through the “The Spanish Foundation for Innovation in Crafts” and presented their furniture collections at Isaloni in Milano.
